Biondi Santi

 

Biondi Santi is hands down one of the most important and influential wineries in

Italy; it was in fact Clemente and Ferruccio Biondi Santi that in the late 1800s first

produced a wine called "Brunello di Montalcino", using 100% Sangiovese grapes,

therefore inventing what is today one of the most famous and appreciated red wines

in the world.

 

To this day, Biondi-Santi still makes Brunello strictly following the traditional methods,

aging the wine in large Slavonian oak barrels, creating a wine that, as proven time

and time again, can stand the test of time and age almost indefinitely.
